5 star review! To Seduce an Earl by Lori Brighton

To Seduce an Earl (Seduction, #1)   didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it

I loved this book. It kept me on my toes the whole way through. Grace Brisbane is not having a good life at the moment. Her father died when she was young. Her mother remarried a man who already had a son. He died a few years ago and now Graces mother is ill as well leaving Grace to figure out the household as well as take care of her younger sister. To top it all of her step brother who has always made fun of Grace and her sister Patients has nearly spent every penny the family has on drinking and gambling. Grace now needs to figure out how to support her family before everyone in the ton finds out how destitute they have really become. Her plan, she's going to seduce her step brothers best friend the handsome and rich Earl of Rodrick. She's been in love with him for years. The only problem is he detests virgins. Her step brother tricks her into visiting a male brothel were she meets Alex. He is charming and charismatic and she knows the he will have no problem teaching her how to seduce her earl.
Alex was blackmail by Lady Lavender when he was a young man to work at Lavender Hills? He is as much a prisoner here as is any man in a jail. The lady knows secrets about his families past that could destroy them all. So he stays for their sake and not his own. The only trouble is after so many years of doing this everyday, he is tired of it and wants nothing else to do with it. Until he meets Grace, that is. She is an innocent virgin which he has grown tired of but at the same time she is smart and witty and does not seems to like him in the least. Challenge accepted. So what happens when he falls for her? Why would a woman like Grace want anything to do with him, outside of using him so she can land her earl? Even if she did, it's not like he was a free man.

I gave this book 5 stars because I was so entertained the whole way through. I will however admit to some biased. I love Lori! I have never read a bad book by this author. I have a list of a few authors that I have read enough of their books to know when I see their name, I don't even have to read the back. Just get it! Lori is on that list.
