Indie Spotlight of June Spears Author of Elijah's Conquest

June Spears

The Title of her work or Group:
Elijah's Conquest (Book One)

Where she creates:

The genre that gets to claim her:
 Romance mostly paranormal

The meat and potatoes:
It is about a young boy who is

pushed around by his step-dad until one day a mysterious woman turnsup, and turns him. He must find out how to survive among the undead. He goes in search of his true love, if she even exists.

June just lets her muse take over:
My fingers do the talking. I never have an

outline and when I do try to go that rout, I end up writing something totally different.

Has she ever written anything and thought; " The world has got to
see this!" ?
My memoir, it hits home with a lot of people. "My Hero is My Monster"

Does she have an editor and Cover Designer or does she do this

I do the cover myself, editing, I leave to the pros.

Who can we thank for inspiring June to write?
 P. C. Cast, Jane Austin

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your

Love scenes, I am terrible at writing about something I have

never truly experienced.

Does June write her characters or do they write themselves through
Depends on my state of mind. I always use the characteristics of

a long lost boyfriend in most of my books.

Does she ever write herself into the characters?
yes, one has to take herself out of the real world once in a while.

Is writing June's  full time job or is she  "Keeping her day job"?
So to speak.
I was recently laid off, so yes, for now, writing is all there is.

If she could go back in time and meet one famous person or legend in history, who would it be?
The real Rose Dawson from Titanic.

There are millions of new books released every year. What in her mind makes Elijah's Conquest stand out from all those millions in her genre?
Pure raw talent, raw emotion, there's nothing like it in the world.
When a traditional book is published, it is edited so much, it takes
the writers voice away. But with Indie Authors, what you are reading,
is truly their writing.

In the world of Indie, marketing is very difficult, especially if
you don't have the funds to pay for it. Has she found a great free
way to market her work that she think's other Indies will benefit from?
Social Media, it is the greatest marketing for me. There are tons of
twitter handles, and facebook pages that will list your books for you.
Not to mentions the tons of bloggers who host interviews as such and
reviews. The number one thing I would say is blog tours. I can not
stress that enough.
