The old familiar sadness crept up on him as he remembered the day those walls fell. It was the same day the door to Avalon was barred from anyone ever entering again. It was also the same day he lost his beast. One could say; that was the day x died. He lost everything that ever mattered to him in the the span of a few short hours.
The events of said day being so greatly unfair and ghastly that they would continue to shake the walls of history for centuries to come. Events that quite literally changed the course of more than one world. X, being the best friend of the future queen of Avalon at the time, unfortunately had a front row seat to the end of the world as they knew it. The world is so worried about an apocalypse that they have never stopped to realize that Earth has already had one. The death of magic on this planet was nothing if not apocalyptic.
