Passion's Sacred Dance Free September 24th-28th

Battling mounting debt, Stacy Macken is determined not to lose her historic art gallery. When Aaron Fielding appears and offers to help, she fights to keep the attraction sizzling between them from clouding her judgment. He may be her savior in disguise--but can she trust him?

Aaron intrigues her with tales of the Tuatha dé Danann, sworn warriors who protect humanity from the monsters seeking their destruction. If Aaron can prove what he claims, she would give up anything to help--even the gallery he claims is sacred ground. But with her property set to stage the next epic battle, she needs answers. An old family diary will confirm the ancient legend is true, if only they can find it in time.

If the battle is lost, the enemy will take control of Earth for the next five hundred years. Stacy and Aaron's budding love might only complicate things.

Character Interview of Stacy and Aaron:

Juli D. Revezzo: Thanks for being here my dears. I know you’re busy what with this whole war looming, so I’ll try to make my questions brief.

Stacy Macken: Take all the time you need, Juli.

Aaron Fielding: Not a problem. Anything we can do to help, that’s what we’re here for.

Juli D. Revezzo: *eyes Aaron’s Sword like weapon* Um, yeah. Would it help if I remind you I’m on your side?

Aaron: Don’t worry, dear lady. I only use this on Balor and his minions.

Juli D. Revezzo: *brow crinkles* All right, I trust you (aside: Besides I think I know how it works). Let’s begin, then: Question 1. What’s the first thought in your mind when you wake up?

Stacy: Coffee; then, what disaster will befall the gallery today?

Aaron: What disaster might befall Stacy and her gallery and what the hell I can do to stop it.

Juli: Yeas, I could see how that would be distracting. Second Question: Tattoos or piercings?

Aaron and Stacy together: Tattoos.

Stacy: For me, it’s a sign of a permanent commitment.

Juli: Don’t say the C word. You know how men are.

Stacy: Fortunately, mine isn’t gunshy.

Juli: Phew! Good. Aaron, why tattoos?

Aaron: I’ve had them since my early days with my tribe. I can’t remember what those little tattoo needles felt like, really. *Aaron shudders* Plus, piercing is sort of a professional hazard. Going into battle risks a piercing or two I’d rather not have. Have you seen the Harbingers’ claws? Imagine if they got caught on something other than my blade?

Juli giggles* Actually, I think I can picture it. Ooh, hey, when’s the next battle?

Aaron aside: (By the gods I worship, why did I give her that idea?)

Juli: What?

Aaron: Nothing, dear lady. Do you have more questions?

Juli: Yes. Question 3: Someone is calling you by a nickname. What is it?

Stacy: I’m known variously as Darlin’, Miss Macken, the Macken family Steward, but Aaron calls me “love”. *Sigh* I think that’s my favorite.

Aaron: Balor’s minions have the unfortunate habit of referring to me and my brothers-in-arms as unsavory one but other than that, I can’t really think of a nickname anyone’s called me lately.

Juli: Question 4: You hear a noise in the middle of the night. It wakes you from a dead sleep. What’s your first move?

Aaron: Grab my harshad in case I need to defend Stacy from something. I don’t sleep deeply.

Stacy: Go for my pistol (What is this defending me, stuff? I can take care of myself).

Aaron: (That fight in the gallery says otherwise, love.)

Juli: I have to agree with him, there, Stacy. I think you did need a hand, that night. Ahem, question 5: You can go anywhere and do anything. What’s first?

Aaron: I’d pack up and go somewhere Balor and his gang can’t get us. The moon might be a good destination. Maybe.

Stacy: Hope to heck Aaron lets me pack first before he whisks me off. Teleportation may be fun, but a girl has to have a change of underwear.

*Aaron winks*: Who says?

Juli: *Ahem* Moving on, question 5: It’s a quiet night and you’re home with nothing to do. What’s your game plan?

Aaron: If I say Stacy, do you think she’d whack me over the head?

Stacy: *Raises eyebrow* (Actually, no, I wouldn’t. :)) And, um, what he said. If I don’t settle down with a good book.

Juli: I dunno, Stacy. With Aaron (or Isaac, or Laurco, or Tam) around, I think my TBR list would go neglected. A lot.

*Stacy glares* Get your own harshad warrior.

Juli: Technically…

Aaron: Technically what?

Juli: Nevermind. Question 6: A cutie is interested in you and you’ve taken notice. What happens next?

Stacy: I throw him up against a closed door and kiss him blind.

Aaron: You knew there was a reason I liked her, didn’t you? Besides the whole Steward relationship thing. She’s not as tame as she looks, despite her wardrobe.

Juli: Oh, I know. She kisses and tells, remember.

*Aaron sits up straighter*: She does what?

*Stacy glares* Now you’ve done it. Moving on?

Juli: Yes, of course. Question 7: Aaron, can you tell the people, what exactly is a harshad?

Aaron: Ah yes, that might be important. Um, wait. You don’t think there are any Harbingers listening, do you?

Juli: I doubt it. This gallery is pretty well guarded.

*Aaron eyes the cameras above suspiciously* Okay, if you say so. A harshad then? For one thing, it’s the way we calculate our ritual battles. Each battle happens exactly five hundred years apart.

Stacy: He says “exactly”, but how in the world their druids figure out the exact date of the first battle is beyond my comprehension.

Aaron: Well, you’d have to talk to them about that. I’m sure Cyreth can explain it.

*Stacy eyes him skeptically* If you say so. Pre-modern era math gives me a headache.

Aaron: Also, it’s what we in the Tuatha de Dannan’s army call our favored weapon, created by Goibinu the Craftsman god, to aid us in our battles against Balor and his minions, who, though they may look like natural creatures, aren’t. The blade can easily penetrate their hides and if we need it to, become almost any weapon a warrior might need—long sword, short sword, sheliegha etc. Technically it can become about five hundred or so, hence the word harshad.

Juli: Handy little thing to have.

Stacy: Isn’t it, though? (Do you really know how it works?) I haven’t figured out how to get it to do all the neat things Aaron can. I hope one day I’ll wheedle the information out of him.

*Aaron winds an arm around Stacy and kisses her* Wheedle all you want, love.

Juli: Maybe we better leave the lovebirds alone, folks, what do you say?

The Title of Your Work or Group: 

 Pirates Cave 

Where are you from? 

 I am from Canton CT but now reside in Westfield, Ma 

In what genre do you write? 

 Mostly fiction, but I have written a few Non- fiction stories and articles and I also had a time in my life where I was writing poetry.

In your own words, what is your book about? 

 Pirates Cave is about two best friends that on the last day of school before summer vacation started ended up on the beach at a place called Pirates Cave. This was common practice for the two boys because both of their families owned homes on the beach.

One of the boys was John and he found an old bottle in the sand that he thought was just some junk that had washed up on shore and had been there for ever, but the other boy Jason knew better so he took it home so he study it a little closer.

That day while they were there they meet a man that told the boys he was a Pirate named “Mad Dog” John wasn’t so sure and really didn't believe him but Jason on the other hand was curios about the man and that’s what lead him back there to Pirates Cave.

When Jason turned up missing this man “Mad Dog’ was the prime suspect but he was no where to be found. Everyone turned to John for his help, but all the information he could give could not help.

It wasn’t until Detective Lenny Waters did some research on Pirates Cave is when they came up with some leads to where Jason might be. Jason was finally found and the mystery of who this pirate was was also solved.

What is your writing style? Do you follow all guides and rules? Synopsis, outline etc. or do you just sit down at the computer and type to see what happens. 

I follow a very simple and basic writing style and I never really thought about it until just asked but I will compare it to an artist that draws his pictures free style. So the answer is no- I do not follow any guides or rules, It's my story and I will write it they way I hear it in my head and not what is politically correct. I think I get more out of my writing if I just sit down at my computer and see what happens. For example if you have a kid that is from the "HOOD" you have to write him in the book like and excuse my for being a stereotype but you have to use the slang and broken speech like a kid from the hood would talk. Even though your computer rejects the words and sentences you write. When I write I make or at leased try to make my characters fit their part. 

Have you ever written anything and thought; " The world has got to see this!" ? 

 Yes of course-

Do you have an editor and Cover Designer or do you do this yourself?

I am a starving artist, I edit my story the best that I can and I also design my own covers. sometimes I will buy the rights to the picture like the one on Pirates Cave and sometimes my son will help me design the cover. 

Who is your favorite author. Not just someone that you read allot. I wanna know whose book you read that made you suddenly know that if you didn't do this for the rest of your life then you would never be happy. 

 To be honest with you I don't do any reading I wouldn't know a author from a hole in the ground.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing? 

I think the most challenging thing about my writing is just getting started and then after that I don't know if I should add more to the story or less. Sometimes I feel if I add too much I am going to bore my reader with too much detail and if I don't add enough I am going to bore my reader because they won't see the big picture, they don't see they story like I see it in my head. One short story that I wrote got a bad review from a reader. I think his problem was one he has no sense of humor and two he just didn't get the story. 

Do you write your characters or do they write themselves through you? 

 Kind of both. It starts out that I write them but soon into the story they start writing themselves and characters are also created on their own. it seems like sometimes I have no control of what they say or do. 

Do you ever write yourself into the characters? 

 Yes and no- Not so much in Pirates Cave but my next story that is coming out soon yes. I gave the maincharacter some of my traits and characteristics and added real life experiences into it too. 

Is writing your full time job or are you "Keeping your day job"? So to speak. 

LOL, That is a good question that deserves a honest answer. I guess I do a lot of writing when I am sitting at home so it seems like it is a full time job to me and as much as I would like to see one of my stories go number one or be made into a movie so I could sit on the beach and watch the sunset, then rise, I think I will be keeping my day job for a while longer. 

If you could go back in time and meet one famous person or legend in history, who would it be?

 That is another good question and there are a lot of people that have meet their demise that I would like to meet but if I had to choose one right now I would say Freddie Mercury.

There are millions of new books released every year. What in your mind makes yours stand out from all those millions in your genre?

 I don't know if it does stand out from all the rest, you know it's just a grain of salt mixed in with all the rest. I am just a simple person that wrote a book, if the cover or what it's about catches your eye or interest then read it. If it doesn't then don't read it. About 15 years ago I was writing another story and my son who at the time was around 5 asked me to write a story for him so I did. I used to hand write everything and then type it up later so for the past 15 years this story has been sitting in my closet. I finally decided that I wanted to publish it and share it with the world. 

In the world of Indie, marketing is very difficult, especially if you don't have the funds to pay for it. Have you found a great free way to market your work that you think other Indies will benefit from? 

I have not found a way to market my books, and I really have no clue as to where to start either.
