Turning sixteen can be hell, especially if everyone in town thinks your mother killed herself and your sister. All Kira Callahan wants to do is swim, hang out with her best friend, Sean, and ignore the kids who torment her at school. That is, until one day when she gets invited to a party. For three minutes her life is wonderful—she even kisses Sean. Then somebody spikes her drink and some girls from out of town lure her into the ocean and hold her underwater.

Kira soon discovers that the group of wild teenagers who have come to visit Crescent Moon Bay are not as innocent as they seem. In fact, nothing is as it seems—not the mysterious deaths of her sister and mother, not her heritage, not even her best friend. And everything seems to hinge on the ancient Celtic legends that her mother used to tell her as a child.

FIRST CHAPTER EXCERPT:

Chapter 1

Kira:

I never believed in ghosts.

Until I saw one, face to face, when I was twelve.

It was the middle of the summer, one of those nights when the wind scratched tree branches against my window and the Pacific roared so loud I thought it was going to sweep me away. Something startled me awake, some shifting of our house, beam against beam, old wood crying out in the damp sea breeze.

Almost instantly a chill shiver ran down my arms.

I got out of bed, the wooden floor cool and welcome against my bare feet. I paused in the hallway, noticed the fragrance of freshly cut hawthorn in the air. I used to love that smell.

Not anymore.

Then I saw something in a pool of moonlight—spots of water on the floor.

Like tiny lakes. Each one perfectly formed and separate.

Watery footprints.

Leading toward my father’s door.

I couldn’t breathe or move. Part of me wanted to disappear. Another part of me hoped that maybe the past could be erased and rewritten.

That was when I saw her. My mother.

I have her photo on my nightstand—me, my sister and her—all in a huddle of green leaves. Her dark hair twined with Katie’s and my own like the three of us were one person. We were up in our tree house. My father must have taken that picture. And here she was right in front of me, tall and slender and silver in the pale moonlight, her long dark hair swirling in the muggy summer breeze, looking like a mermaid, her skin glistening as if she had just risen from her briny home.

Dark lips parted and a small gasp came out when she saw me.

It only lasted a moment, but in that amount of time I saw too much.

Her fingers stained with fresh blood, her eyes the color of the ocean, her skin so pale it looked as if she hadn’t been in the sun for years.

“Mom,” a whisper cry came from my lips.

She came nearer then, this wraith from the past, until she could press a slender finger against my lips. She shook her head. We both knew the rules. I grew up on the Celtic legends; they were all my family talked about during the long winter nights, when the fire crackled and spit and our bellies were full.

But for now, silence filled the hallway, just long enough for me to hear the air coming in and out of my mother’s mouth, as if she had run a great distance to get here. Perhaps the gates to the Underworld were farther away than I thought. Or perhaps she had climbed the great cliff our house sat upon, all the way up from the ocean floor, to get here. Finally—when neither of us could bear the quiet any longer and I’m sure both of us would have started weeping, when words would have gushed like streams from our mouths and we would have broken every rule that protected the living from the dead—at that point, she brushed past me down the narrow hallway, toward the back door.

I turned and watched her run, across the yard through the thicket of trees and overgrown thorny bushes, toward the cliff. The same path she took seven years ago.

The night she killed my sister and then threw her tiny body in the ocean.

The very same night that my mother killed herself.

•

I didn’t see the hawthorn branches until the next morning, arcing across every window and lintel that led to the outside. Tiny drops of blood spattered the woodwork, stained the Irish lace curtains. My grandmother cursed beneath her breath as she made breakfast—a sizzle of bacon, the fragrance of burned toast—the Gaelic words draĆochta and mallacht dropping like hot stones. My father sat at the table, his eyes downcast and his face the color of a rainy day. But it wasn’t anger in his heart, not like Gram; no, I could tell that sorrow kept his eyes from meeting mine that morning.

I longed to tell him that I had seen her. She’s alive! I wanted to say, but that just wasn’t true. She was haunting us. She had almost spoken to me last night. Almost broke all the rules of heaven and hell and earth, and if we had talked to each other--

I glanced up at Gram, hoping that she couldn’t read my mind—I wondered about that at times.

If my mother and I had talked to each other, well, then I would be damned to a watery grave too. Just like her.

And so on that morning we all sat in the same heavy silence as the evening before. The only sounds, the bright song of the purple finch in the willow tree and Gram’s Gaelic curses.

One strange thing I will always remember about that day.

None of us took any of those hawthorn branches down. Nor did we wipe away any of the blood.

•

Every year after that, on Midsummer’s Eve, my father put the hawthorn branches up himself. He draped every window and door with rugged greenery, while Gram watched him with her hands on her hips, grumbling. She’d shake her head and tsk, saying he was going to wreck all the trees in the yard with his terrible pruning. And then, when he’d had enough of her complaining, he’d go off in a sulk and spend the evening at the local tavern.

While he was gone, Gram would get out her Irish whiskey.

She’d start by pouring a draft into her cup of coffee, but soon enough, it would be whiskey in her cup and she’d be adding a drop or two of coffee for flavor.

Songs would ring throughout the house, from floor to rafter. And then the stories would come. That was when I would slip out of my room, when the yard was full of green trees and dusky sky and the fairy light of a full moon. I would curl on the sofa with our cat and a book on my lap, pretending to read, but really I was just waiting for the stories to begin.

When my grandmother’s voice rose and fell, her tongue thick from liquor, I imagined that I saw my sister and my mother standing just outside the circle of light cast by our windows onto the lawn. They couldn’t come too close, I knew, not when the hawthorn boughs protected us. I imagined that they danced to Gram’s songs and that they wept at her stories.

Unfortunately, all the Irish legends end poorly. Someone falls in love with a vampiric Leanan Sidhe, or a banshee comes singing tales of woe, or a fairy steals your child, leaving a changeling in its place. Whichever way you looked at it, a human could never win the battle against the legendary creatures from my homeland.

Sometimes, when I curled beneath a blanket and stared out at a star-drenched sky, I wondered if that was why my ancestors left Ireland and came here, this small town on the California coast.

Maybe they all wanted to escape the danger. But it didn’t matter. Because, in the end, dark magic and twisted fate can catch up with you, no matter how far you move away.

Buried, with Ryan Reynolds, jacked me up so I had to rant.

So I just watched Buried with Ryan Reynolds. I started watching it last night but was unable to finish it. I am claustrophobic. It was kind of hard watching a movie where a guy is trapped in a box and you know he's going to die. I was literally in a panic attack the whole time. So I told my husband about it and he decided to watch it today so of course I had to finish it. Now there is no type of movie that I won't try but I could never bring myself to watch it. I have always had this reoccurring dream where I am in the days of cowboys and Indians. That's all I know. I am running from someone. I keep thinking that my brother and my parents went to town and wont be back for three days. Where can I hide from “Them for three days? I don't know who them are as all I think is “them” I am running across dry, hot terrain. It's very hot outside as the sun feels like it's blazing at somewhere near 105. I have a simple brown dress and black boots on as I can see them and the skirt as I run. I am near exhaustion and know I must stop somewhere cool to rest. I can't let “Them” get me. The things I had heard of them doing to women. No, I could not let them get me. I see a cave opening in some rocks on the side of a cliff about ten feet up. I decide it's the best place to hide and begin the climb up the edge of the cliff. I am thinking that if my dad could see me now, he wouldn't be so mad that she was always out playing with her brother as apposed to finding a suitable husband. Just as I was climbing over the edge of the cliff where the cave opening was, I heard “Them” in the distance and ducked into the cave quickly without looking where I was going. The cave was cool and spacious but littler with sharp rocks. I tripped on one and fell against another causing it to roll into the far wall. A soon as the rock hit the wall of the cave, everything began to shake. “Cave in!” Flew through my thoughts as I scrambled to late to get out of the way before massive hard rocks fell all over me. I remember being in pain all over and unable to draw a full breath no matter how long I struggled just before blackness claimed me. At this point I usually wake up choking and gasping for air. Sometimes I guess I freak out about being trapped and leap out of bed. I have ran into walls and doors and knocked myself out after waking up from a very vivid dream. I dream crazy all the time. Go big or go home I guess. But anyway you can imagine that has always been my worst fear to be buried alive. The reason it took me two years to watch and also the reason it took two sittings to finished. It was a two hour long panic attack for me! And at the end where you knew he would die and then you thought he was saved and then boom, he died cause it was the wrong body they dug up! I literally almost had a heart attack! Not kidding. I was pacing the room crying and trying to control my breathing. I can't even snorkel for Christ sake. I never feel like I’m getting enough air. I can't sleep with my face covered in any way either. No air. This movie fucked me up royally and I'm not even joking. My emotions feel like I just went through a life altering event. I haven't looked it up so I don't know if Ryan got any awards for his performance but if he didn't he damn well should have. I full on believed every second of his performance. I couldn't have done it. Hell no. Even watching it freaked me out. My empathy level and imagination are way too good. Acting it out and pretending could send me into convulsions. It probably won't be as bad on the rest of you but I guarantee it will keep you interested.

31 Days of the Paranormal presents: Kloster's Dream By Melanie Woodshall

Where does a memory go when no one is there to remember it? What happens when the last person to remember a memory is gone? Kloster’s Dream is a new paranormal suspense novel by Melanie Woodshall that explores the persistence of memory through one man’s desperate persistence.

After another late night at the office, on yet another late commuter train home, struggling architect Carl Kloster has no idea that his nightly catnap is about to turn into a nightmare from which there will be no awakening. A missed stop leaves him far down the line, in a town without a name, an idyllic town that is perfect in every way save one – there is no sign of life.

Disoriented and alone, desperate to get home to his wife and children, the young father is further challenged by a confusing jumble of memories which may or may not be his own, impossible memories from some future place and time. Certain that he is not dreaming, yet unable to understand the logic of this strange place, an alarming phone call that seems to come straight out of his past leaves Kloster to question his own sanity.

A lonely Kloster’s hope is renewed when he meets another young passenger named Carrie, and together they search for a way out of the dream. But in a surprising twist, Kloster will discover that there is only one way to awaken from this particular dream, and that the dreamer always wakes alone.

Melanie Woodshall is the author of the forthcoming books Gentrification and Gravitas. She lives in suburban Chicago with her husband and family.

A contemporary paranormal romance.

When a girl looking for love meets a lonely, but strange man, she has her suspicions about him, especially since he doesn't seem to eat.
He’s not what he used to be, he’s totally reformed and lives amongst a group of ancient magical beings. Just what is he besides, gorgeous, sexy, intelligent and totally in love with her?
He’s a dress designer, a dot com businessman, a good friend, courageous, and he’s four hundred and some years old.
Fate has some weird twists in store for this couple but above all else it has a delicious love story.
Devon Ruthin finally hears from his very dangerous brother after twenty years. It’s not the reunion he would hope for, when Drew takes a liking to the girl Devon loves.
It’s not the reunion Drew might have hoped for either, because he discovers the woman he’s always loved lives in the same town as Devon, and begins a quest to win her back.
Drew Ruthin is a vampire and one of the worst kind, he's also selfish and egotistical, he's dangerous and not just because he's out for someone's blood, but because he's subconsciously very unhappy. He knows his vampire community finds him pathetic; he's losing power and status. His pain comes from his aching need for acceptance and love.
He has a funny way of showing it.
Attempting murder of his family members.
Seducing and draining any pretty girl he finds in his path.
It seems he will stoop to nothing when suddenly into his 'undead life' comes a girl, who although not destined for him, sets off a chain of events that does bring him everything his secret heart longs for.

Excerpt from  Devon Ruthin and a Vampire in Love: Volume one of The Ruthin Trilogy

Bliss watched Devon for twenty minutes as he walked up and down the length of his garden. He seemed to be able to do it very quickly, unless he turned and came back as he was in the dark part, where the garden lights petered out. What was he doing out there she thought and then she decided to go down to him. She wanted to be with him, she had come looking for love, and she thought she had found it. She was dilly-dallying around for no good reason. She pulled on the T-shirt she had worn that evening and her jeans. She put her feet into her canvas shoes and combed her hair, which was still a little wet from the shower. She went down to the kitchen and found the massive window only open by a meter. She went through it and waited for when Devon reached her.
Devon knew she was there even before he exited the dark area of the garden. He slowed down a little and concentrated on sensing her presence. Sometimes after he had drunk his health shake, he felt more in command of sensing a person’s emotions. She was definitely in love with him. She wanted him. He sighed in relief.
As Devon came out of the gloom Bliss walked towards him and put her arms around him, he put his arms around her. He felt her hair midway down her back still damp, and he held it in his hands savoring the softness.
“Bliss what are you doing down here is something wrong?” he asked her because he didn’t know what else to say. She shook her head, moving her arms to around his neck she kissed him. She molded her body against his.
She kissed him until she felt that overwhelming urge to tell him she loved him and then she did.
“Devon I love you, I have to tell you, I need you to know”, and then he was kissing her again and smiling. Then kissing her, and as he held her very tightly he whispered, “I love you too”. Bliss smiled before she kissed Devon again, and they stood close together holding each other’s face and kissing each other tenderly. Bliss began to unbutton the shirt Devon was wearing. She moved her hands across his smooth skin along the muscles of his chest. He felt cool and strong. She traced around his body with her fingertips, and Devon kissed down her throat and her shoulder.
Bliss moved to his lips to kiss him. She whispered close to his lips, “Come back inside let’s go to bed Devon, I want to be with you”.
Devon was captivated by this. He smiled and kissed her. “I want to be with you too Bliss”, he told her.
Holding hands, they went inside and Devon locked the window. He was thinking about his bed, was it actually made up, he couldn’t remember the last time he had lain in it. He generally slept for short periods in his chair or sometimes on the lawn. As they went upstairs and he put his arm around her waist Bliss felt very happy. It had been the right thing to do, to tell him she loved him, it seemed to her that he had been waiting to know how she felt about him.
Devon had decided that if his bed was not made up he would tell Bliss he was about to change the linen and had forgotten to finish the job. This was not good he thought; he didn’t want to lie to her right then.
When they went into Devon’s bedroom Bliss was struck by how empty it seemed. There was a bed on the side opposite the huge windows, and she noticed a chair set up so that Devon could sit and look out of them. Devon’s bed was made up with white linen that looked ironed. His quilt, also in a white cover was rolled at the bottom of his bed as if he did not use it. Devon held her face and kissed her so lovingly she felt like liquid. They undressed and held each other close suddenly desperate to feel each other’s body closer, and their kisses became more urgent.
Devon ran his fingertips along her skin and cupped her breasts in his hands. Bliss arched to him as he took a nipple into his mouth and a little moan escaped her it felt so good. She reached down to feel his erection in both hands and almost sighed with relief at finally being able to hold him like that. Devon groaned and found her lips with his. His kiss was hungry and he held her then around her hips to raise her as he put a finger into her moistness. Bliss gasped with pleasure and moved on his finger until Devon put another finger into her. His tongue was in her mouth and she was grasping him tightly and then stroking his erection wanting him inside her.
He laid her down on the cool bed and moved over her. Bliss put her arms up around him to press him to her body as she opened her legs wide for his entrance. She whispered her need to him and Devon wanted to give her what she asked for. He surged into her and they moved together as if they had always known each other, as if they were made to fit together and it felt so good they were both softly moaning.
Devon told Bliss he loved her so much over and over as he made love with her. Bliss was carried along in a wave of pleasure. She sought out his lips if he moved them from hers to her cheek or shoulders. They whispered to each other and groaned into each other’s mouth as the sensations overwhelmed them.
They didn’t let go of each other for a long time. Devon felt that he couldn’t let Bliss go. He needed her in his arms close against him. Bliss wanted that too, and she moved so that her face was against his, and so that she could kiss him as they whispered to each other. Devon held Bliss very close until she was asleep, and then he closed his eyes, and sighed. He wanted Bliss with him always. It had to have been fate that brought her to him. She had told him how she had set out to find love, or something that would change her life and arrived at the cafĆ©. It was meant to be he decided. He kissed her and gently traced a breast with his fingertip. In her sleep Bliss moved towards him, wanting him. He moved his hand to rest gently on her lower stomach, his fingers almost against her moistness and he sighed. Everything felt so good.

Excerpt from Drew Ruthin and The Blood of Changes: Volume Two of The Ruthin Trilogy
PG 13

Drew was driving home annoyed with his fruitless journey and suddenly hungry for blood and sex. He watched for a way of gaining both as he drove along and at the bus stop on the way out of the next town before the highway he saw a girl alone.
He pulled up alongside her and let his window down. He gave her a look that was an invitation to something wonderful. His voice was soft and kind. He exuded charm. “Do you want a lift somewhere? I think you may have a long wait there”.
The girl was about twenty and not prone to getting in cars with strangers male or female. She shook her head. “No thanks I’m fine”, and she looked away from Drew wishing he was not a stranger. Wishing she had met him down the basketball club or something, he was so drop dead gorgeous.
Drew didn’t leave.
“I’m harmless”, he lied, and smiled a smile so sweet it was like rain to a flower.
The girl had pepper spray in her bag. Her mom had some too. Their neighbors had acquired it after a break-in just in case the suckers came back when they were actually at home and not at the gym. They had insisted on giving her and her mom a can each. She thought about the fact that she could spray him if he turned out to be a monster and accepted the lift after all. She was going to the hotel just before the highway to meet with her friends, there was, she told Drew, a bit of a dance on that night.
Drew found himself interested. “A dance?” he said in a questioning tone.
“Is it open to anyone?”
The girl considered his obvious interest. It would be a real win to walk in with this gorgeous guy to the dance. Her friends would fall dead with envy.
“It is of course. You pay at the door and that’s it, stay all night if you want to, the DJ very often plays until dawn”. She glanced at Drew to gauge his reaction to this information.

By Trish Marie Dawson

Piper Willow dies the summer after her high school graduation but she doesn’t make it to Heaven or Hell…instead she finds herself in a spiritual terminal called the Station. She’s given only two choices: Return to Earth as the subconscious for a person in need of some outside assistance, or move on and spend an eternity lost in her own sorrow and pain.

Does Piper have what it takes to save a life - to be the nagging voice inside someone else’s head - or will she fail and end up lost and tormented in limbo...forever?

Snippet:

“Excuse me, Niles…I mean, Mr. Abbott. But, where are we?”
“I’ll explain everything to you dear, just as soon as we reach the Station.”
“What station? We aren’t in the hospital? Where’s my Dad?”
“No Piper, this isn’t the hospital, and your father is at home…he’s fine. Please, follow me.”
He turns away and continues on through the light. I hang my head, staring at my bare feet as we walk. Even though my cuts are gone, I keep rubbing my arm. It’s soothing. I almost bump into Niles when he stops abruptly.
“We’re here,” he says softly.

Indie author spotlight of Jordana Barber Author of The Time Keeper .

The Author

Jordana Barber

The work of Art:

The Timekeeper

Where she creates her masterpieces:
I'm originally from Portland, Oregon and currently reside in Bailey, Colorado

What Genre gets to claim her:
    Paranormal Romance

This book has it all!

The Timekeeper is the story of Azriella, a Demon-Djinn Princess who helps regulate the strands of fate for a governmental organization, the High Council, who is hellbent  on ruling the world. The Council keeps her grounded in the mortal world while she's trying to manage her own kingdom in Aliis Mundi, the Otherworld. When creatures from  all walks of life in both worlds start seeking her out for their own personal gain, she's forced to evade homicidal Angels, hide from a Djinn ex who won't take a hint, a Demon  father who won't stop fighting with her Dragon husband, a marriage proposal involving a Vampire, and wild political machinations to over through her and claim her throne. Muddling through her life as she has been is no longer an option, taking action is necessary, but when everything is falling apart what do you choose?

Jordana's Muse follows the rules... Occasionally.

I'm very lax with my writing style. I start with a rough (very rough) outline and set out to follow it. Sometimes I actually stick to it, but most of the time my character's get minds  of their own and veer drastically off course. Occasionally, they end where I think they should... Occasionally.

Has she ever written anything and thought; " The world has got to see this!"

Every once in a while, I managed to write something that really floors me and I think to myself, "At least half the world would get a kick out of this." In truth, I write because I  enjoy it. If I can bring enjoyment to the rest of the world with my writing, the it's a bonus.

Who helps her to get her work perfect?

I participate in the content editing, but my grammar is horrific. I have several outside editors that make sure my comma and periods are where they should be. I got lucky and  married a Graphic Designer / Web Programmer  and he does my cover designs and my website for me. Thank goodness, I'm not that skilled!

What Author inspires Jordana the most?

I couldn't possibly name just one author as a favorite. There is so much excellent literature floating around trying to narrow it down is impossible for me. I started writing in  elementary school, and I've wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. If I recall correctly, I read everything that L.J. Smith wrote, multiple times. Keep in mind this

was twenty years ago and long before there were TV shows based on her books. I was fascinated by her characters and the plots. If I had to give credit to my inspiration, it  would most likely be to her.

What she would say is the hardest part of the writing process.

Editing. Has to be editing. I have a bad habit of making up my own words and I write like I speak. I don't speak with proper punctuation, so I've been told.

Does Jordana write her characters or do they write themselves?

I start out writing my characters, but a page or two into it they take over and run a muck.

Does Jordana write herself into her characters?

I have certain characters that share many of personality traits. I often don't notice it until after the fact.

Is writing her full time job or is she  "Keeping your day job"? So to speak.
Unfortunately, I'm forced to keep my day job. I'd love to write full time and hopefully someday that will be a possibility.

If she had a time machine, Jordana would seek out the truth.

Who to choose? If I had to pick just one, I'd say Vlad the Impaler. I've always been fascinated with history from Romania, Turkey and the rest of the region. Legends are conflicting and history is written by the winners, it would be interesting to know what actually happened in his lifetime.

The time keeper stands out because:

I have my own, very unique, voice when I write. Call it a style if you like.

The Excerpt
“Cassie, wake up.” He stood back up over me as I sat up and rubbed my eyes.

I noticed that Ted was not with him, and he looked defeated as he sat down on the floor beside me. I crawled over to wrap my arms around him, and he looked surprised at first but then he put his arm around me and we were silent for a little while.

“We are going to have to move soon.” Brett was speaking quietly as he rubbed my arm. “He knows where we are, so when he wakes up, he may come for us. I was too late to help him.”

I did not know how long Brett had been gone, but I assumed by his tone that he had found his friend in very bad shape. It scared me that if he turned into one of them then he would know where we were. I sighed as I leaned my head on Brett’s shoulder. Something struck me as odd as I inhaled his scent. I thought that he smelled tasty.

Tasty! I was alarmed. He smelled good, but tasty was not something that should describe my crush. Something bad was happening to me, and I could keep trying to fight it, but as I glanced at my finger, I knew in the back of my mind it was only going to get worse.

He was looking at me while I was having all these thoughts, and he was too close for comfort. He smiled as he took my face in his hands and brought his lips to mine. It was everything I had hoped for in our first kiss. There were fireworks, and my whole body felt alive. I allowed him to ease me down onto the tarp and welcomed his body weight on top of me. This felt right and I wanted him all over me just like this. I had dreamed of this moment countless times and it was finally happening.

Our kisses became more urgent, and he moved one hand down to slide up my shirt. I heard a low growl come from somewhere within me. Something wasn’t right. It happened very quickly, but before I knew it, I had reared back and bitten into his chin hard. He cried out in severe pain, and tried to push me off of him, but I was latched on. I felt the skin break in my mouth, and felt my hunger as I ripped the skin away from his face. When I realized what I had done, I was horrified.

I stood back thinking of how I could remedy the situation. He sat there with blood pouring from his face and a hurt look in his eyes. All I could think of was one word: tasty. I had to get out of there. What the hell had I done? How many times had I pictured my lips near his, and I manage to get them there by biting his face off? I had to get as far away from him as possible. I ran out the entrance and into the school hall. Tears were streaming down my cheeks as I contemplated where to go. I was changing into one of those monsters.

I had literally bitten my crush’s face off!

31 Days of the Paranormal presents: Once Upon A Twisted Time Cover reveal.

Once Upon A Twisted Time
Think you know your fairytales? Think again. These aren't your normal happily-ever-after. Within these pages, a murderous Little Mermaid gets her revenge, the Cinderella doesn't really want to wear the slipper, Snow White is up to her eyes in industrial experiments, and the Beauty is in fact the Beast.
This collection of four novellas will surprise you, make you gasp in horror, sigh with relief, and sit on the edge of your seat. And most of all…they will make you rethink everything you think you know about dark fairytales…

Song of the Abyss
Princess Nerissa had envisioned a perfect wedding to a handsome prince. Instead, she fell into a nightmare. When her new husband tries to murder her just hours after pledging his life to her, she must flee towards the sea. Caught in transition from woman to selkie, she is trapped by the dark waters she hoped would be her salvation. Now her destiny becomes that of luring young men to their death…until one comes along that reignites the spark of love inside her. However to ensure her future, she must first face her past. Revenge must be taken…for both her life, and the life of the young man she now loves.

Miss Cavendish and the Spark of Salvation
In a city toiling under the iron fist of the Spiegel Syndicate and its monopoly on coal, Miss Georgina "George" Cavendish is on the brink of a breakthrough that could change the world forever. There's just one thing standing in her way, her aunt - Xenobia Cavendish. Threatened by her efforts, the Syndicate procures the services of a notorious assassin with a past tied to her own, known as The Huntsman, to dispatch the brilliant scientist. But once he gets a glimpse of the headstrong beauty, will he be able to do the job, or will Georgina sway him to The Cause? And will George find the breakthrough she needs in time, or is New London Town doomed to forever lie under the dark shadow of her aunt's factories?

Hawke and the Beast
Some curses last forever, and some can be broken with the whisper of three little words. Isabella Rose Woodward fell in love with a witch's son over a century ago. Her punishment for breaking the young man's heart was a beastly one. Every month she turns into a different creature, aging on the full moon when her curse allows for a brief return to her human form. Her only salvation is to find a man that will love her as she is…be it adorned in feathers, fur or scales. Has she found this love with the handsome Jasper Hawke? Or will a mysteriously determined Hunter find her first, and snuff out the life she so desperately seeks? A life of normalcy, where she loves and is loved in return… just as she is.

Reborn City
Nyx has one mission in life; bring down the brainwashing of New Omsk’s citizens, and release them from their mundane lives of toil. The year is 2355, and the world is a new place. A Governor is in charge of every city in the world, and humanity is attempting to rebuild itself after recovering from a war that nearly killed it. But this Governor has set his eyes on the intrepid little hacker, Nyx, and he will stop at nothing to get her. But perhaps he needs her more than he ever dreamed he would…as do his citizens.
